Credit Suisse analyst Allison Landry raised her price target for Genesee & Wyoming to $80 from $71 on valuation. Although earnings guidance came in modestly below consensus, the analyst believes a stronger commodity environment is expected to support volume growth in all regions in 2017. Additionally, she sees potential upside if commodity strength, truck pricing, or diesel prices surprise favorably, though earnings growth could be at risk if stronger demand fails to materialize. Landry reiterates an Outperform rating on the shares.
