Goldman analyst Joe Ritchie acknowledges HD Supply reported a disappointing quarter and guidance but said the share reaction overstates the issues. He believes the long-term story at HD Supply is intact and offers one of the best risk/rewards in the group. Ritchie recommends buying shares on the dip given HD's topline is still outpacing peers, underlying operating leverage remains solid, balance sheet optionality, and compelling valuation.
