SunTrust analyst Keith Hughes raised his price target on Home Depot to $208 after its Q2 earnings beat, noting that while the comps growth was below consensus, it was still not "as bad as feared". The analyst adds that continued lumber deflation is still impacting sales, but believes that underlying demand will need to accelerate for the company to achieve its guided 4% comps growth in 2019. Hughes adds that the sales of big-ticket items also "moderated" in Q2, but he sees an easier comp period in the back half of the year. The analyst maintains his Hold rating on Home Depot.
