As previously reported, Susquehanna upgraded Hibbett Sports to Positive from Neutral and increased its price target to $17 from $11. Analyst Sam Poser expects same-store-sales to come in ahead of expectations due to the positive impact from hurricane demand. The analyst is forecasting a less worse scenario of same-store-sales decreases of 6.5% for Q3 and 4.5% for Q4, versus consensus of down 8.4% and 5.8%, respectfully. Poser believes consumers to replace footwear due to flooding and damage, FEMA aid and insurance payments will drive same-store-sales, contractor demand increases as the recovery proceeds, and footwear demand will likely be fulfilled in stores and not via online delivery.
