Argus analyst Jacob Kilstein upgraded Hartford Financial to Buy from Hold with a $60 price target, saying the company should be able to generate an ROE in line with or above the peer median over the next few years. The analyst further cites Hartford's latest Q4 earnings beat due to lower catastrophe losses, a lower group disability loss ratio, and higher net investment income as well as its attractive valuation, with shares trading at a price/book multiple of 1.1 and a forward P/E of 9.4-times, which is below the peer medians of 1.5- and 14.1-times.
