Wedbush analyst James Hardiman called recent price deterioration in used motorcycle pricing a "major problem" for Harley-Davidson, stating that it appears to be less a function of supply and more a function of demand, which is "more difficult to address." The analyst, who noted that virtually all of model years checked are seeing resale prices and trade-in values that are worse sequentially from his previous survey, worse year-over-year and at or near recessionary levels, keeps a Neutral rating on Harley shares.
