Oppenheimer analyst Ittai Kidron has mixed views on Silicon Graphics' (SGI) acquisition by HP Enterprise (HPE). While he does not see the deal as a high-quality acquisition from a growth perspective, the analyst acknowledges it brings in-house an OEM supplier, further strengthening HP Enterprise's position as a leading enterprise IT hardware vendor and possibly offering a gross margin benefit. Kidron continues to believe HP Enterprise's shares offer "significant value" and reiterates an Outperform rating on the stock.
