Leerink analyst Danielle Antalffy attributes today's weakness in HeartWare shares to the firm's MEDACorp Pulse call this morning with a "high volume EU physician and a "mid-to-high volume U.S. physician." The EU doctor's comments potentially suggested more EU market share losses for HVAD than expected, but this was partially offset by positive comments about potential HVAD market share in the "much-larger" Destination Therapy market, Antalffy tells investors. The analyst, who said his model is under review to reflect some of the EU commentary, has an Outperform rating on HeartWare shares.
