Citigroup analyst Jim Suva says that while IBM's (IBM) Q1 earnings topped expectations in the face of currency headwinds, the mix was not what he had hoped for as most of the upside was driven by Hardware, primarily due to the mainframe System Z refresh. Suva wanted to see stronger results from services and software. He keeps a Neutral rating on IBM with a $170 price target, seeing a more compelling investment opportunity in Apple (AAPL). The iPhone maker reports earnings next week. Shares of IBM are trading up 84c to $167 in pre-market trading.
