MKM Partners upgraded InterContinental (IHG) to Buy from Neutral. The firm believes InterContinental's strong franchising business is undervalued and ROIC trends are increasing versus Choice Hotels (CHH). MKM Partners believes InterContinental is a more likely candidate to participate in industry consolidation given its high-quality franchise model.
