Piper Jaffray analyst William Quirk raised his price target for Illumina to $187 saying his checks this quarter support his upgrade cycle thesis. The analyst found 113 orders for NovaSeq from 27 customers during an initial round of checks. Quirk finds the checks "very encouraging" and believes Illumina can meet and exceed his 2017 NovaSeq install estimate of 238. The analyst keeps an Overweight rating on the shares.
