After Intel (INTC) agreed to buy Altera (ALTR), Wedbush says that both companies' balance sheets will be significantly stronger when the deal closes, while the deal will drive significant long-term growth for Intel outside of PCs . along with considerable long-term cost synergies. The firm also thinks that the deal will drive gross margin sustainability at Intel. It keeps a $37 price target and Outperform rating on the shares.
