Wells Fargo says that it expects primary paper packaging stocks to come under pressure today following an unexpected decline in semi-chemical medium pricing. However, the firm expects the financial impact on International Paper to be "de-minimis" given its "higher degrees of vertical integration." Wells recommends buying the stock on any weakness today. Other companies whose stocks could be negatively affected by the news include Greif (GEF), KapStone (KS), Packaging Corp (PKG), and WestRock (WRK), according to Wells. The firm also recommends buying Packaging Corp on any weakness today.
