Stifel analyst Patrick Ho said he "clearly did not see" IPG Photonics' more cautious near-term outlook and downward revision of its 2018 forecast coming, but he maintains his positive view that IPG will continue to benefit from growth trends in the fiber laser market. The current price represents an attractive entry point for long-term investors, said Ho, who lowered his price target on IPG shares to $228 from $282 and keeps a Buy rating on the stock.
