Morgan Stanley analyst David Lewis attributes a recent 10% slide in shares of iRhythm (IRTC) to concerns about the Apple (AAPL) Heart Study, though he believes misperceptions around AHS may create a buying opportunity. Wall Street underappreciates the way the Apple Watch can expand the total addressable market and false positive rates "should dispel notions" that the Watch is a direct competitive threat to iRhythm, according to Lewis. Apple Watch creating a larger funnel of patients requiring a definitive diagnosis of presumptive AF "is a clear positive" for iRhythm's ZIO, added Lewis, who keeps an Overweight rating and $101 price target on iRhythm shares.
