As previously reported, MKM Partners downgraded Juniper to Sell from Neutral and maintained its $22 price target. The firm believes expectations for Juniper ignore the secular trends at AT&T (T) and Verizon (VZ) towards a multi-step network that includes fewer Routing nodes and more optical notes and aggressive pricing near-term. MKM Partners expect Juniper to miss 2H 2015 expectations and does not see a strong Tier 1 SP Router recovery on the horizon. Additionally, the firm does not expect Juniper to be acquired by a larger vendor.
