BTIG analyst Carl Reichardt upgraded KB Home to Neutral from Sell citing better than expected Q2 orders and guidance. The analyst said the biggest positive surprise was greater proportion of California orders and backlog that will help offset weaker margins on other markets. Rechardt believes earnings can turn positive in the coming quarters if demand holds and sees downside as limited.
