As previously reported, BofA/Merrill upgraded KBR to Buy from Neutral and raised its price target to $20 from $16. Analyst Anna Kaminskaya expects structurally higher defense spending to drive a re-rating in KBR and sees less risk of cost overruns in the E&C business given lower reliance on fixed priced contracts and diversification into smaller sized service projects.

KBR announced it has signed a contract to provide its green ammonia technology, K-GreeN, for Fortescue's Holmaneset green energy project in Norway. Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide technology license, proprietary engineering design, and FEED support engineering services for the 675 metric tonnes per day grassroots green ammonia plant in Norway.
