MKM Partners analyst Daniel Scott raised his price target on KBR to $25 and kept his Buy rating after its Q2 earnings beat, higher than expected margins, and "strong" new awards in the quarter. The analyst says that the Hydrocarbons segment was especially notable, with new awards rising 2.6-times and backlog increasing by $0.3B to $13.5B. Scott is also raising his FY18 EPS view to $1.46 from $1.39 and revenue to $4.95B from $4.19B after the Q2 results.

KBR announced it has signed a contract to provide its green ammonia technology, K-GreeN, for Fortescue's Holmaneset green energy project in Norway. Under the terms of the contract, KBR will provide technology license, proprietary engineering design, and FEED support engineering services for the 675 metric tonnes per day grassroots green ammonia plant in Norway.
