Macquarie analyst Maynard Um initiated Kemet with an Outperform rating and $25 price target, stating that the MLCC industry is experiencing a supply shortage and that the consensus view is not properly reflecting incremental capacity or price increases. He also sees several end market "megatrends" mitigating the historical cyclicality that has impacted Kemet, Um tells investors.
