Goldman analysts led by Judy Hong said the potential for rising yields pose downside risk to valuations across the Consumer Staples group and growth is becoming more difficult due to choppy emerging market macros and slowing US strength. The firm recommends names that can outperform in a rising rate environment driven by healthy topline and earnings growth through market share gains, innovation, margin expansion, and capital deployment. Names likely to outperform are Kraft Heinz (KHC), Monster Beverage (MNST) and Philip Morris (PM). The firm's analyst sees downside to multiples for US-centric names General Mills (GIS) and Church & Dwight (CHD)
