Goldman Sachs analyst Toshiya Hari reinstated coverage of KLA-Tencor (KLAC) with a Sell rating and $107 price target, which represents 14% downside. The analyst is cautious on the stock given potential downside to second half of 2019 Street estimates and near-term concerns regarding Orbotech's business. Further, Hari reduced his 2019 Wafer Fab Equipment market outlook from down 20% year-over-year to down 25% to reflect a "more negative view" on memory spending following "continued price declines" in DRAM and NAND. Expectations for a second half of 2019 recovery in Wafer Fab Equipment, the primary driver behind Semiconductor Capital Equipment stock price outperformance year-to-date, will fade over time, Hari tells investors in a research note. The analyst keeps Neutral ratings on both Applied Materials (AMAT) and Lam Research (LRCX).He boosted his price target for Applied Materials to $40 from $38 and for Lam to $172 from $158.
