Piper Jaffray analyst Erinn Murphy says that after hearing about slightly better consumer reception to Michael Kors's receipts at retail in July and August, the company's trends have decelerated through September. Traffic in outlets and in major tourist hubs including New York and Florida is down significantly according to channel checks, Murphy tells investors in a research note. She keeps an Underweight rating on Kors with a $38 price target.
