DA Davidson analyst Brian Holland initiated Landec with a Buy rating and a price target of $14, saying his "sum-of-the-parts" valuation methodology suggests that the stock offers a "compelling" risk-reward. The analyst cites the initiatives of the recently appointed CEO Albert Bolles targeting the expansion of the company's Curation Foods segment margins. Holland adds that the "stability" of that business will also support the company's "undervalued" Lifecore Biomedical segment, which is currently benefiting from secular R&D outsourcing / manufacturing tailwinds in the pharma industry.
