RBC Capital analyst Frank Morgan lowered his price target on LifePoint to $58, citing the company's third consecutive year of flat earnings based on its expectations from the FY18 outlook. Morgan notes that the reaction in the stock price on Friday reflects "investors' frustration over the earnings growth despite finally beginning to achieve margin expansion in the portfolio of recently acquired hospitals". The analyst keeps his Outperform rating however, stating that the headwinds are "one-time in nature" and that LifePoint will return to attractive growth.
