After Mobileye (MBLY), Intel (INTC) and BMW (BAMXY) announced a news conference scheduled for Friday at which the three companies are said to be unveiling a partnership to develop autonomous cars, according to media reports, Evercore ISI analyst Chris McNally said this event could be a "seminal turning point in the bull / bear debate around Mobileye" and a "game changer" for the company. It appears that the world's largest chip-maker is aligning themselves with Mobileye, suggesting they don't want to compete with the company, McNally tells investors. Noting the involvement of "premium OEM" BMW, McNally said he also believes it is likely that the technology in development will not only be for shared mobility applications but also for consumers. The firm has a Buy rating and $60 price target on Mobileye shares, which are up over 9% to $45.88 in pre-market trading.
