Ladenburg Thalmann analyst Michael Schmitz downgraded Contango Oil & Gas to Neutral and lowered his price target for the shares to $4 from $6.50. The recent decline in natural gas prices, combined with potential service cost escalation in the Permian Basin, could continue to weigh on the shares near term, Schmitz tells investors in a research note.
