The analyst further cites Allscripts' management reduced expectations for 2018, anticipating earnings to come in at the low end of its prior guidance range, with added concerns coming from the company's above-peer-average debt ratios and declining cash balance. Hellweg adds that he "would consider an upgrade if the company is able to strengthen its balance sheet and significantly improve margins and earnings."
