Needham analyst Scott Berg raised his price target on Medidata to $90 after its acquisition of Shyft analytics. The analyst says the deal may mark "the first step of a bigger shift into the commercial side of its current Life Science customer base", serving as a "natural extension" to augment the company's analytics research and development efforts in the clinical end market. Berg keeps his Buy rating on Medidata.
