Jefferies analyst Julian Serafini keeps a Hold rating on Micro Focus International (MFGP) after OpenText (OTEX) denied it is considering a potential acquisition of the company. Micro Focus initiated a strategic review in late August, whereby it was willing to sell parts of, or the entirety of its portfolio, Serafini reminds investors in a research note. The analyst believes the business could be of interest to other mature infrastructure software vendors or to financial sponsors. "A (partial) sale could be one way for the company to crystallize the value of its assets," Serafini writes.
