SunTrust analyst William Chappell said Atchison, Kansas officials said the reason for the event at MGP Ingredients' plant was a chemical being inadvertently being put in wrong tank and that there was no explosion or damage to the company's facilities. 18 patients were being treated for "discomfort" but all the injuries were minor, the analyst notes the official said. He believes the stock has overreacted to reports of the event and would use the dip as a buying opportunity. Chappell keeps a Buy rating on MGP shares.
