After an unconfirmed media report suggested that Nestle (NSRGY) has interest in buying Mead Johnson (MJN), Morgan Stanley analyst Sanath Sudarsan said he could see the theoretical scope for synergies but also sees potential antitrust risk for any proposed hypothetical combination. Nutrition remains a core growth driver at Nestle, but the need for disposals could dilute the strategic rationale for any possible deal to buy Mead Johnson, added Sudarsan.
