SunTrust analyst Gregg Gilbert lowered his price target on Mallinckrodt to $7 and kept his Hold rating after its Q2 results and lower Acthar sales. The analyst warns that investors will remain cautious on the stock amid the continued uncertainty around its potential opioid liability, even though the company's cash flow, debt reduction, and "good growth" in its Hospital business were the bright spots for the quarter. Gilbert further cites the positive performance and long-term potential of Mallinckrodt's Inomax franchise in spite of its competitive threats.
