Jefferies said Microsoft's (MSFT) decision to exit its display ads business through a deal with Verizon's (VZ) AOL is the right strategic move and shows continued discipline, but the firm views the deal as immaterial to Microsoft's financials. The firm added that sees a higher chance of a write-down of the $5.2B in goodwill associated with the company's Nokia acquisition as Microsoft appears to be "in house-cleaning mode." Jefferies has an Underperform rating and $38 price target on Microsoft shares.

Captivision announced its collaboration with Activision's Call of Duty: Mobile and Framework for the recent installation at the Framework in the Desert afterparty in Coachella Valley. Through this collaboration, Captivision delivered a unique media glass installation over the course of the festival. At Framework in the Desert, multiple freight container structures were unveiled that featured Captivision's media glass. Ribbon Communications (RRBN) announced plans for a major network modernization program with Verizon (VZ) to retire legacy TDM switching platforms and replace their function with modern cloud-based technologies. Verizon is leveraging Ribbon's portfolio of Voice Products including the vC20 Call Controller, G5 Line Access Gateway, G6 Universal Media Gateway, virtual and Cloud-native Session Border Controllers, and other products which allows for the consolidation and replacement of equipment with energy efficient, software-centric platforms while maintaining full feature functionality.
