Jefferies analyst George Notter says meetings with management reinforce his positive view on Motorola Solutions. The analyst has a Buy rating on the shares with a $105 price target. The company's Public Safety/LMR radio systems are thus far operating extremely well in the Houston area, while the cellular/LTE network in that area is currently experiencing significant outages after Hurricane Harvey, Notter tells investors in a research note. He believes the storm highlights the difference in reliability of LMR sites versus LTE cell sites. Further, based on his conversations, Notter finds it likely that Motorola Solutions' Airwave contract in the United Kingdom will continue to get renewed going forward. Airwave is becoming a bigger focus for investors as the LMR network contract is set to expire on December 13, 2019, the analyst contends.
