SunTrust analyst C. Patrick Scholes lowered his price target on Vail Resorts to $270 after its worse than expected Q1 EBITDA reported yesterday. The analyst is keeping his Buy rating however, noting that the quarter is typically "money losing" and investor focus would likely fall on pass sales. Here, the analyst is positive on the trend as season pass sales rose 22% in units and 17% in dollars, with lower than expected trade down to Epic Day Pass along with strong growth seen in Northeast destination markets.
