As previously reported, BofA/Merrill downgraded Micron (MU) to Underperform from Neutral and lowered its price target to $12.50 from $17. Analyst Simon Dong-je Woo said Intel's (INTC) unexpected capex plan to spend $5.5B to convert its existing CPU fab in Dallan, China into NAND will add 5-7% to global NAND supply once completed. Dong-je Woo said the NAND industry already faces a glut and is also concerned Intel's move poses a conflict with the joint-venture fab in the US it has with Micron.
