Credit Suisse analyst John Pitzer said Micron reported an inline Q1 but guided Q2 to a loss of 5c-12c, well below his street low estimate for a profit of 5c-10c and consensus of 22c. Pitzer believes Q2 will represent a bottom in bit growth with accelerating cost decline from 20nm DRAM and increasing mix of LPDDR4 expected to drive gross margin improvement and a return to profitability in second half 2016. The analyst sees limited downside to shares and maintains his Outperform rating but lowers his price target to $20 from $25.
