Cleveland Research said the imbalance in DRAM supply/demand is expected to worsen in Q1 as demand slows seasonally and additional supply comes online, and is expected to exceed demand throughout the year. Analyst Kevin Rottinghaus expects further pricing pressure through the first half of 2016, which will further impact Micron's margins. NAND is also expected to remain oversupplied for the first half of 2016 and pricing is to remain aggressive. Rottinghause does not believe Micron can compete in NAND on a cost basis and expects DRAM to be the bulk of the company's profits.
