JPMorgan analyst Ann Duignan noted that ACT Research released preliminary truck orders for February that showed Class 8 net orders of 40,600 units, up 75% year-over-year and down 17% month-over-month from January's twelve-year high. The analyst, who noted that February's Class 5-8 order volume represents the fifth best reading since 2000, stated that U.S. macro indicators for truck purchases have continued to trend positively. She pointed to Navistar (NAV), Paccar (PCAR), Cummins (CMI), Eaton (ETN) and Allison Transmission (ALSN) as the stocks she covers on which truck orders have the largest incremental impact.
