As reported earlier, RBC Capital analyst Stephen Walker downgraded Newmont Mining to Underperform and lowered his price target to $43 from $45. Walker notes that while the company delivered on its business plans with solid fundamentals, the recent outperformance of the stock and "unchanged valuation metrics" warrant a more cautious view.
