Needham analyst Rick Patel keeps his Buy rating and $92 price target on Nike, saying his Pricing Playbook that tracks about 4.5K Nike products online suggests that promos in footwear were "controlled" and the Lifestyle category showed improvement. The analyst adds that the average selling prices in the data were higher, thank in part to increases in the "initial mark-up", with pricing in Mens' apparel also showing improvement. Patel raises his Q1 EPS view on Nike to 71c from 69c even though he lowers the FY20 view by 3c to $2.89 to reflect the strength of USD.
