As previously reported, Needham analyst Alex Henderson upgraded NeoPhotonics to Strong Buy from Buy saying the company is well positioned to benefit from the surging demand for coherent transport in China as well as in the Metro Core. The analyst believes that the Street's estimate of a 25% Q4 revenue growth rate looks "overly conservative." Henderson raised his price target on the shares to $18 from $17.
