After EMC's (EMC) CEO said that the company could do large, extremely accretive consolidation deals, RBC Capital says that Arista Networks (ANET) is the most logical takeover target for EMC from a strategic perspective, while NetApp (NTAP) and Veritas, which is slated to be spun off from Symantec (SYMC), appear to be logical targets based on financial considerations. The firm says that EMC investors would view deals that are gross margin and EPS accretive positively. RBC keeps an Outperform rating on EMC.
