Argus analyst Jim Kelleher noted that NetApp never realized full value from its Engenio acquisition and said investors are skeptical that its newer deal to acquire SolidFire can reverse the company's fortunes. While SolidFire gives NetApp products to serve three separate all-flash niches, it also increases hardware intensity at a time when software is the company's growth driver, Kelleher tells investors in a research note. The analyst keeps a Hold rating on NetApp shares.
