Raymond James analyst Simon Leopold said reports of the departure of SolidFire CEO David Wright, approximately 18 months after NetApp's (NTAP) acquisition for $870M is an incremental concern, but not surprising given his background as an entrepreneur. The analyst said Wright was discussing and promoting NetApp's hyper-converged platform and was disappointed when the analyst day did not provide a launching pad to introduce this platform, leading to speculation the launch may still be some time away. Leopald said Wright's departure makes him incrementally concerned about a potential delay.
