RBC Capital analyst Amit Daryanani raised his price target on NetApp to $80 and kept his Sector Perform rating after holding investor meeting with its CFO Ron Pasek and Investor Relations VP Kris Newton. The analyst says the company is positioned to outgrow the storage industry based on its better product portfolio and strategy. Daryanani further notes that NetApp has improved its operating margin profile through cost control initiatives after posting below-target margins in FY16 and FY17, and also expects its Service segment revenues to recover from declines in the recent quarters.
