As previously reported, Wedbush analyst Henry Coffey upgraded OneMain Holdings to Outperform from Neutral and raised his price target on the shares to $45 from $35. Based on his own analysis of the issue, the analyst is now comfortable with how the company will manage around the complexities of CECL, and while he was hoping for a longer runway to analyze its excess capital generation capacity, the $2 special declared with the release of Q2 earnings is "as clear a signal as anyone may want."
