Catch up on today's top five analyst upgrades with this list compiled by The Fly: 1. Bank of the Ozarks (OZRK) upgraded to Overweight at Piper Jaffray by analyst Peyton Green, who said the short-seller induced pullback leaves Bank of the Ozarks valued at a discount to peers, even though the bank produces higher returns and is projected to post much stronger earnings growth. 2. General Motors (GM) upgraded to Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley with analyst Adam Jones saying he sees the potential for strategic developments to change the structure and composition of the core business and how the market values the business. 3. Weatherford (WFT) upgraded to Buy at Seaport Global by analyst Ken Sill, who said Weatherford has substantial leverage to an eventual upturn in spending and should see high incremental margins given its strong cost cutting efforts. 4. Medivation (MDVN) upgraded to Buy at Citi following the company's Q1 results. The firm's new takeout valuation range includes Xtandi value beyond prostate, most notably in breast cancer. 5. Advance Auto Parts (AAP) upgraded to Buy at Goldman by analyst Matthew Fassler, who said that while near-term results are likely to disappoint, the company has an opportunity to meaningfully improve margins in 2017 and beyond. The analyst also expects improved cost efficiency and enhanced cash flow generation. This list is just a portion of The Fly's full analyst coverage.
