Citi analyst Praful Mehta reported that the Sacrament Superior court ruled that PG&E is not liable for punitive damages related to the Butte fire, which Mehta said sets a positive precedent for PG&E and other California utilities in terms of the 2017 wildfires. Mehta keeps a Neutral rating on PG&E shares, however, stating that the Tubbs fire outcome and potential impact of legislation are still the key drivers of the stock.
